DUPLINE – User-Friendly Installation Bus
| |
Introduction
The automation of buildings is changing.
Traditional electrical installations meet a lot of requirements, but as the functions in the building grow more and more complex and the demands for interaction between them rise, the need for new technique has emerged.
The Dupline Installation Bus is The Solution
Dupline is a decentralised system which combines control and monitoring of illumination, window blinds, heating, alarm systems etc.
Dupline provides new ways of reducing energy consumption and enhancing comfort and security in the building. Operation, service and maintenance become simpler and you have total access to system status anytime, anywhere.
The intelligent functions in the Dupline duct generator provide free combinations of signals to and from various bus components such as automatic time-switches, movement sensors, dimmers, relays, thermostats etc.

Light Control
Central and decentralised control. The light can be adjusted to present daylight level with an option for stepless dimming and scenario control. You can control several functions from the same automatic time-switch and the same function from several locations by various components. It is possible to programme lights to go on/off at specific hours of the day and on specific weekdays. |
Windows and Doors
Surveillance of windows and doors with magnet switches or detectors of glass breakage in addition to movement sensors are significant elements in the burglar alarm system. The facility can be combined with room temperature control, switching off the heat if the window is opened. Optional automatic opening and closing of windows and doors. |
| |
Control of Awnings and Window Blinds
Manual control of awnings and window blinds by means of buttons and remotes. Optionally, you can add automatic control compensating for weather conditions such as wind velocity and light intensity. You can control window blinds individually or in groups. |
Heating
Temperature adjustment in individual rooms, depending on time and whether or not the room is being used. Set points can be defined and temperatures monitored from a central location. |
| |
Fire Alarm
Smoke detectors and sirens in various locations in the building are important elements in the fire alarm system. This can be combined with other functions, e.g. lamps can be turned on and ventilators closed in case of fire. |
Control and Monitoring via the Mobile Phone
Via a GSM modem you can have user defined text messages submitted to one or more mobile phones in case of alarm, e.g. from the smoke detector, movement sensor, window switch or the water leakage sensor. Furthermore, your mobile phone can show current status for various functions in the building and activate output units. |
| |
Access to Building Functions via Internet
The smart-house web-server makes it possible to operate the system via the Internet. From a standard browser you can operate the smart-house system from anywhere in the world. You can see drawings of the building and status for connected units such as lamps, switches etc. |
Visualisation
You can overlook and control status for the unit at various locations in the building, f.ex. by means of touch screen displays, computers, text-displays or monitors. |
| |
Connection to Overall Control System
It is possible to connect several Dupline nets each controlling one part of the building. Due to the open interface concept with easy access to data, it is even possible to link the total network to any building control system you might favour. |

Products
Duct Generator
All the system’s intelligent functions such as clocks, masters, timer functions etc. will be configured in the duct generator by means of a PC. The integrated clock and calendar keep track of time with regard to holidays and the like. |
8 x 16 A Output Module
In large buildings equipped with many lamps and outlets, most loads are controlled by output modules with a lot of relays, as this is the most efficient method. |
Automatic Time-switch
By means of the Dupline programming unit the wanted function/signal can be assigned to every button and LED on an automatic time-switch. |
PIR Sensor
The low power consumption and integrated bus interface provide the possibility to place a lot of Dupline sensors in the installation anywhere you want them. |
Universal Input Module
The low power consumption and integrated bus interface provide you with the possibility to place a large number of Dupline sensors in the installation anywhere you want them. |
Decentralised relay
The local relay contributes very much to the high flexibility of the Dupline installation bus and makes it easy to extend an existing installation. The module has only four cables: Two for connection to the installation bus and two for phase and medium cord. |
